I went back an hour later and was told my room still wasn't ready and that they would call my cell when I was ready. The front desk person said that because I had an upgraded room my room wasn't ready and to come back in an hour. But it was not the best experience and not worth the upgrade. When our other party checked in the first day several hours after we arrived, the gentleman working the front desk was very short and not helpful to that party and had them sign a disclosure but did not give a copy to the party upon request. So day 3 we still did not receive any housekeeping and our room was never cleaned during our stay. So she scheduled a room clean for the next day for us and put an order in for housekeeping to bring me the items I was requesting that night. The person there told me that you have to request your room to be cleaned, it is not automatic. I went downstairs to the front desk in person to get assistance. I called the front desk and got no answer there too. Ok, not a huge problem, I will call housekeeping for extra towels and coffee for the next morning.
At check in we were told that our room would be cleaned everyday unless we put out the do not disturb sign. There seemed to be some confusion and lack of communication that made us a bit frustrated.
